Experience the Henry Ford Museum

The Henry Ford Museum is a large indoor and outdoor history museum complex and a National Historic Landmark in Detroit.  The museum is open seven days a week from 9:30am to 5:00pm.

The museum began as Henry Ford's personal collection of historic objects, which he began collecting as far back as 1906. Today, the 12 acre site is primarily a collection of antique machinery, pop culture items, automobiles, locomotives and aircraft. The museum features an IMAX Theater, which shows scientific, natural, or historical documentaries; as well as major feature films. The Automotive Hall of Fame is adjacent to the Henry Ford Museum.

The sixth-annual Motor City New Year’s Eve event "The Drop" takes places in downtown Detroit at Campus Martius & Cadillac Square. The fun festivities begin at 4:00pm. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Tom T and some of metro Detroit’s best local bands. Local restaurants, vendors and food trucks will be onsite offering all your favorite Detroit dishes! The kid's zone will be filled with activities including face painting, carriage rides and the kids’ Drop at 6:30pm.
